CCC member threatens colleagues with physical assault

Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) head of protocol, Brilliant Dube has threatened to physically assault that party’s interim secretary for public service and social welfare, Maureen Kademaunga and interim youth chairperson, Cecilia Chimbiri for tarnishing his image.

A source who spoke to this publication said that Dube was accused by Kademaunga and Chimbiri of interfering with that party’s candidate selection process. However, Dube didn’t take the accusation lightly and threatened to assault the duo for tarnishing his image.

“Dube was accused by Kademaunga and Chimbiri of interfering with the candidate selection process in order to disqualify the duo as candidates. However, Dube was not amused by the duo’s accusations and threatened to physically assault them. Dube later described Kademaunga and Chimbiri as Chamisa’s prostitutes bent on destabilizing the party,” said the source.

The source added that Kademaunga and Chimbiri were now leaving in fear following Dube’s promise to deal with the duo.

“Kademaunga and Chimbiri are now afraid to move around without the company of other people as they are afraid that Dube might pounce on them. They are also afraid that Dube might hire thugs to assault them. They are contemplating reporting Dube to Nelson Chamisa so that he could be reprimanded,” added the source.

The same source added that the candidate selection process had caused rifts in CCC as members were accusing each other of interfering with the process. The source said that it would have been better for CCC to hold primary elections in one day instead of the candidate selection process that had taken over a month to conclude.

Efforts to get a comment from CCC interim spokesperson, Fadzayi Mahere were futile as her mobile phones were not reachable.
